Motorbike MOT's
Those three letters are enough to make most of us a bit uncomfortable. However, if your bike's more than three years old it's a legal requirement and lets face it your going to feel a lot happier chucking your bike into a fast corner knowing that its all ship shape.
A little known fact is that MOST motorcycles presented for the test pass. You’re probably aware of the horror stories that come from the car world where the car is so rotten underneath the only thing to do is scrap it. Unlike cars, bikes just don't suffer from rust and corrosion and the biggest area of failures comes from worn tyres and blown bulbs. Hardly a matter for concern.
Another grey area is exhausts. If it says "For race use only" on them we'll fail it but as far as noise goes its up to the individual MOT inspector. Rule of thumb says if it doesn't make our ears bleed it's generally OK.
